Detect a liar

Often, we may find ourselves in situations in which we find it difficult to believe others.  We are unaware of what is happening in the brains of others.  But keen and constant observations can reveal many hidden secrets.  Firstly, our eyes would reflect truth.  Moreover, our body language declares what is going on in our mind.  So by keeping in mind a few tips we can detect liars easily.

.A liar usually searches for words and the sentence may stumble or pause in between. He may also use words such as um, uh, etc.

.When a liar is diverted from a topic, he would feel revealed. On the other hand if a person is telling a truth, he would be enthusiastic to continue the same topic even if you interrupt him.

.One who is lying would look to his right, which means he is constructing a story. If a person looks to his left, he would be recollecting the events from his memory.

.A liar will not maintain eye contact.

.A liar would look down during his conversation. Looking up is an indication of recollecting events from the past.

.A liar would play with things or brings things like book or his own hands in between him and the listener.

.Liar will not give details.

.People who use 'isn't, weren't' etc would be telling the truth, while if 'is not, were not' etc is used it would be a lie.

.If someone expresses some emotion and makes a delay in giving an explanation for the same, then it is an indication of a lie. For example, some one would say that he is happy for some of your achievements and then pauses before an explanation, then he is lying.

.If the emotions are truthful then it would be expressed spontaneously.

.A liar would always welcome a change of topic.

.Liars would not use their hands while talking.

.Liar would occasionally touch his mouth or nose while talking.

.A liar would give a long and detailed explanation for otherwise simple questions.

.Liars would use terms such as 'honestly', 'the truth is' etc more often.
